Materials available through Musselman Library's Special Collections and College Archives encompass a wide range of works, many of which are in the public domain. However, some items may still be protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights. Users are responsible for determining the copyright status of materials and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws when reproducing or publishing these works. Items in our GettDigital Collections are for educational use. For assistance in understanding rights, obtaining permissions, or requesting files for publication purposes, please contact us.
Citing our Materials
While you may use any citation or attribution style you wish (or are required to use), we recommend the following format for unpublished materials (such as research papers):
[CREATOR] (if known), [TITLE], [DATE] (if known), GettDigital: [NAME OF COLLECTION] Collection, Special Collections and College Archives, Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, [ACCESS DATE], [LINK TO ITEM].

Special Collections Reading Room Hours
The reading room is open 1pm-5pm Monday - Friday when fall and spring semester classes are in session. For other times, please contact us for an appointment.
Requesting Items
Students, faculty, staff, and members of the campus community can use LibCal to request items/collections and dates/times for research visits.
